This is the most compact and cost-effective “print and apply” system of the series perfect for printing small-to-medium size labels up to 120 mm wide. Right-hand and Left-hand versions are available.

Automatic applications

Linear

For stationary objects or flat surfaces

This linear movement applicator has a guided piston and a label gripping pad with vacuum generator and sensor to monitor actual picking. The system is self-adapting. Ideal for stationary objects or flat surfaces.

Models for different strokes:

SHORT: useful stroke of 300 mm

LONG: useful stroke of 600 mm

EXTRA-LONG: useful stroke up to 1250 mm. This model is of the telescopic type to minimise machine clearance

Applications

Applies labels to the side or top of stationary boxes in adaptive manner with respect to the distance of the box.

Applies labels on the side face of stationary objects.

Rotor

Label application on the front or on the two adjacent sides

This rotary movement applicator has a guided piston and a label gripping pad with a vacuum generator and sensor to monitors actual picking. The system is self-adapting. Ideal for application on stationary or slow moving objects and on flat surface.

Models with different arm length:

SHORT ROTOR: with 530 mm arm

LONG ROTOR : with 800 mm arm

Applications

Applies a label on the side or two labels – one on the front and one on the side – on stationary objects (with the box stopping in two positions) or slow moving objects (with stops).

Rotor fast

For high-frequency small labels

This model uses a short rotating arm than the ROTOR model. The light-weight pad is suitable for working at high frequency (up to 120-130 labels/minute) on the side or back of stationary bundles or moving very close to each other.

Applications

Applies a label on the side or top of the moving boxes

Wedge

Label on front side of high-frequency boxes

This applicator is particularly indicated for use in the food, pharmaceutical and medical sectors.

Applications

Applies frontal labels on high-frequency moving boxes and bundles with short, variable gaps between boxes.

S-Blow

For very high-frequency static air jet applications

This model is provided with a high-frequency fixed air jet (not moved by a piston) capable of accurately “spitting” the label to a distance of 80 mm from its surface and thus until approximately 50 mm of distance from the clearance of the labelling machine. Suited for high-frequency application on moving objects (also at high speed). Use of the application finishing device is recommended in case of surfaces with poor adhesion. The device consists of a soft rubber roller which presses the label to apply it (after labelling).

  • Applicator pad for Printess 4: suitable for label sizes up to H 120 mm x B 120 mm.
  • Application frequency: with label size H 80 mm x B 40 mm frequencies of up to 250 cycles/minute are achieved.

Micro

For very small labels

This model has a guided piston and a label gripping pad with vacuum generator and sensor to monitor actual picking. A special mechanism controlled by a micro-cylinder allows the pad to pick the newly printed and trimmed label from the silicon-coated paper very accurately. The label is then applied on the object with equally high accuracy. Ideal for label size min. H 20 mm x B 8 mm / max. H 80 mm x B 20 mm.

Corner

Corner – for corner labels on stationary boxes

This linear movement applicator has a guided piston and a label gripping pad with vacuum generator and sensor to monitor actual picking. It is also provided with a second piston carrying a soft rubber roller that bends the label by 90° and trims it to angle. The application is made on a stationary object which is well positioned and suited for labels size H 50 mm x B 150 mm of 55 mm are folded at an angle.

Applications

Applies a long label in the corner on stationary boxes using a linear piston applicator with finishing roller fitted on-board.

Tamp-blow

For contact-less applications on moving objects

This linear movement applicator has a guided piston and label gripping pad with vacuum generator and sensor to monitor actual picking. Application is performed by a powerful air jet without contact with the object. Suited for application on stationary or moving objects also with irregular or not perfectly flat surface.

Models for different strokes:

SHORT: useful stroke of 300 mm.

LONG: useful stroke of 600 mm.

Applications

Applies a label on the side or top of moving boxes if the size of the boxes is very variable using an air jet with moved pad and photocell to locate the correct spitting distance of the label automatically.

In-Spool

For small labels inside tubes or coils

This applicator has a piston guided with a max. 350 mm stroke and a label gripping pad with vacuum generator and sensor to monitor actual picking. A special mechanism controlled by a micro-cylinder, grips the micro-label after it is printed and accurately applies it in the object to be labelled. A small photocell may be positioned on the pad to detect reaching of the position inside the coil or tube automatically and proceed with the application. Specific for label size min. H 20 mm x B 20 mm / max. H 50 mm x B 40 mm.

Wrap

For labels on large diameter round objects

This linear movement applicator has a guided piston and a label gripping pad with vacuum generator and sensor to monitor actual picking. This “enveloping” pad can printed on round objects even of very different diameter. Application is carried out on stationary and well-positioned objects. Specific for label size min. H 50 mm x B 40 mm / max. H 180 mm x B 210 mm.

Applications

This model applies labels to bulging surfaces of a stationary object using a wrap-around pad.

Dispenser

For simple, cost-effective applications

This simple, cost-effective applicator can dispense labels on objects moving that the same speed as the overprinting. Specific for label size min. 30 mm x 30 mm / max. H 120 mm x 360 mm.

Applications

Applies a label on the side or top of moving boxes is the speed of the linear is less than 25 m/min and the boxes all pass at the same distance from the printer.

Applies a label wound about a moving bottle which is turned, by means of belts, to wind the label.

Accessories

Protective container

Integral stainless steel box for protecting the electronic unit. Recommended for use in wet and dusty environments. Data can be set on the touchscreen.

Operator protection cage

Aluminium profile box for protecting the operator and the pallet printing unit.

Printing unit heater

Instrument for holding the temperature at about 20°C in environments colder than 5°C.

R.F.I.D. tag printing

After printing, the smart label is taken to the applicator pad and printed in radio-frequency. The label is read and rejected if it is not correct. It is then automatically applied onto the object (pallet) and checked once again.

Barcode printer

After printing, one or more codes are read and checked by a laser scanner. In case of negative results, the printing operation is repeated and the new label is placed on top of the previous one. The checking device may be fitted on the printer (to check immediately after printing) or for reading the previously applied label. Barcode and two-dimensional code checking devices are available.
