\nAll these elements are crucial for maintaining the health of vegetables that circulate every day in Europe.
\nIn recent years, several European countries, including Italy, have been involved in the spread of organisms that are harmful for plants. 2014 was the year of Popillia Japonica, a particularly dangerous beetle. Then it was the Asian woodworm Anoplophora chinensis and only more recently the most famous case of the Xylella. The spread of these organisms is mainly due to the high circulation of vegetables within Europe, which therefore carries the issue of plant\u2019s health.
\nThe reform of the European phytosanitary system entered into force on 14 December 2019. The practical application of EU Regulation 2016\/2031 led the introduction of the concept of \u201cplant passport\u201d, an identity document useful for reconstructing the origins of each plant.
\nThe traceability of plants has become a fundamental element for contrasting the spread of pathogens organisms. That\u2019s why the labeling process became crucial.<\/p>\n

With regard to this, the European Union has very specific rules. The new regulations require a single format for Europe but also the way in which labels are structured graphically is clearly specified.[\/vc_column_text][vc_row_inner column_margin=”default” text_align=”left”][vc_column_inner column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_shadow=”none” column_border_radius=”none” column_link_target=”_self” width=”1\/2″ tablet_width_inherit=”default” overlay_strength=”0.3″ column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid” bg_image_animation=”none”][vc_column_text]Professional operators, such as farmers and nurserymen, naturally take care of the plant passport with a dedicated equipment.
\nThe label on the plants must clearly and unequivocally indicate the origin and the path of the plant in order to identify all the operators who came into contact with it. To do this, the traceability code must be present and the adhesive labeling is the most effective format for the purposes set by the new European regulations.
